  • Re: Got Tricks?

Hello Syl - Over and over again I find that what works for one person doesn't work for the next. I supposed if we only needed one cell phone company because it was so perfect, we would never have competition! Look at the $2. fee that Verizon had to retract this week! Do you have a good way to clean...

  • Re: Got Tricks?

I love this idea! It will reach into places that the adhesive lint roller won't, and it is cordless! The price is great as well. Keeping my area clear and clean is a full time job and this will make it easier. I had tried some of the mini-vacs and they were a joke. Dirt Devil is a good name brand...

  • Got Tricks?

I do a lot of embroidery. I probably have my machine going 35+ hours weekly, and that is a lot of stitches. Over time I find that I have to be able to solve some issues that would never find themselves in an embroidery book/blog/forum. Here is one of them - I keep a double faced lint roller by my machine...

What a great idea! I love the fact that it "leaves" (pun there!) everything smelling great! Pat, The Avid Embroiderer

  • Keeping WSS dry

Obviously, keeping water soluble stabilizer dry is a good idea. However, how do you do that? Well, this is what I do. I have a large size bolt of water soluble stabilizer. I kept some of the packets that come with new shoes which are used to keep humidity from getting to the shoes. I placed those packets...

  • Re: PE700 Question and Answer Area

Hello! I am a newbie at machine embroidery and love my new PE700II. I have a question (and am sure I will have more which is why I am sooooo excited to have found this forum!) ... I have just monogrammed an 80% cotton and 20% polyester bib. I used Isacord thread and the Monogram Wizard font Blackboard...

  • Re: Any ideas on sewouts with many color changes?

Hi Lori! There are so many different methods of doing the same thing that it would take a lot of the Net to list them all! Best practices work well if they work for you AND IMHO, if you understand why you are doing what you do. The forward thread removal is important for many reasons, not the least of...

  • Keeping Notes and Information

In the past I have tried to keep notes on certain items that I worked with which required some special technique. Frankly, it was haphazard and not a good system. Frankly, I even have had to check back with my own blog, The Avid Embroiderer to see what tips I placed in there!! How is that for using my...
