  • Re: PE 770 - Thread looks better from the back??

Hello Jenn - It sounds like you may be having a tension issue. You can check the manual that came with your machine for tension issues. Another thing that you can do is review my blog on needles which has a tension test for your machine. Check the Preferences (where your options are - including changing...

  • Re: Brother PE770 - thread wadding up! Help!!

I traded my SE-400 for the pe-700II a week ago and have wanted to rip my hair out! I have had trouble getting the hoop to click in and have not had one design go right. Error message: Check upper thread and re thread...My embroidery looked more like a rats nest than a birds nest! Having said that .....

  • Portable Loyalty

When I first heard the term "Portable Loyalty" I thought that it did not refer to me. I am a loyal client. I buy where I am treated well. That goes for all of my purchases. A good example is the AlphabetXpress available here at AnnTheGran.com . I always check out new font/words programs because...

  • Re: PE700 Embroidery Machine

Frustration is apparent here! I am reading this to say that the black is only on the top thread and the white is on the bobbin. You may want to check your tension by using this test . It is near the bottom of the blog. Then review your manual for instructions for what to do next. I have had this issue...

  • Embroidery Magazines

Many embroiderers enjoy reading magazines on line. The latest thing is to put them there for your convenience and a great price - free. Why would anyone want to actually purchase a magazine if you get them for free? That question is gnawing at publishers all over the world. Is the printed word going...

  • Re: Brother PE 770 Tension Question

I am assuming you are a 'newbie' and embroidery is truly a different process from sewing. When you read this blog on Tension you will understand a lot more. I always recommend that you read, read and then read more. There is much to understand about the embroidery process. Ask a lot of questions...

  • Re: Help!!! Thread Tension

Hello - Thread tension is a significant issue for anyone. You can check your thread tension with the zip file that is in this blog - The Avid Embroiderer, Needles . There is a lot of good information (IMHO) that will assist you. If you have been fiddling with the tension, it can make a nightmare for...

  • Help!!! Thread Tension

I recently purchased a refurbished PE-700, and unfortunately am having a lot of difficulty learning it. I refuse to give up on it yet, but I have yet to stitch out one single project without some sort of trouble! It's very frustrating!! My current problem appears to be the thread tension. I have...

  • Re: Untidy stitching on back of embroidery

You have really had a time with that one! We all hope things are going better. I used to work on a PC Help desk. One thing I learned was that not all problems were resolvable. Sometimes we would find Microsoft saying "you may get unexpected results." That was their way of saying - we don't...
