  • Re: why does everything "sink" into the fabric?

Deb-Give it a try, you may find it to be a good method for puckering issues. Of course you must have the hooped stabilizer that is the foundation for your design. But adding little 'meat' to the mix may assist you to have a better project. Others may have more ideas and I hope they add them here...

  • Re: Embroidery on a light weight T-shirt Fabric

So true, we don't ! I just know what works well. I won't recommend something that is not a quality product, as I too have bought inferior product that just does not do what they claim. These do! We are sewers just like you that have been "down the road" so to speak. (Gee, I just realized...

  • Re: denisity and puckers

Thank you Pat for all the info. I will try each one. These designs are some that I bought from EMB LIBRARY. I don't know anything about digitize, therefor I just order what I want, not knowing. Is there a way to know more about the designs? Mary Jane

That appears to be a very dense design. In digitizing for ME, there is something called a "pull effect." I don't digitize, but I believe, essentially, the original design, and its density, can cause 'pull' of the fabric. Density will pull the fabric 'inwardly' causing the...

  • Puckering Issue

This is an example of something that had been discussed in a forum in early June, 2008. The community was assisting the frustrated quilter and we all learned things from the discussion. Rather than getting irritated, ATG wants your photo of your problem and the community will discuss and assist when...

  • Re: PUCKERING

Hi Virginia, You are correct, puckering is one of the biggest problems a lot of ME folk complain about. It can be caused by several things, 1. that you have under stabilized the fabric 2. that your desired design is very stitch intensive and too much for the fabric, 3. that when you are hooping your project...

  • Re: What fabric brand do you recommend?

Along with lots of stabilizer, when I embroider squares for quilts, I heavily starch them and make sure I outline the design area. I also with very dense designs try to, as much as is possible, stitch the inside colors first. Linda
