  • Re: Material comming out of hoop

A couple of things here that I might suggest. when doing sweatshirts, make sure the fabric stays in the hoop (if not hoopless) during the design sew out. That means that it can pop out at any time, given the right circumstances. So check the stability of the hoops a couple of times as you go along. I...

Hi Nancy, Glad to hear that I persuaded you into to getting a good quality brush for your machine. It will last you a very long time and is worth the few extra $$ to know it is not going to fall apart on you. No, you should never use the air dusters to clean inside the machine, it does just what they...

  • Re: Peggy's Stitch Eraser

Barbara-I too used the seam ripper until my hands ached. I saw the Stitch Eraser and thought about it as a tool to buy when I had the money. I told everyone who would stand still long enough, just before my birthday, about how cool this tool was going to be. Well, I finally got it and I cannot believe...

  • Peggy's Stitch Eraser

I found this video showing someone using the Peggy's Stitch Eraser. After spending a very long time using a seam ripper on a messed up design, I think this tool has my name on it! It is for sale on Ann The Grans site. YouTube - Peggy's Stitch Eraser Demonstration Barbara

  • Re: Peggy's Stitch Eraser 8

I so agree!!! I have waited to get this because I really did not have the funds for it and I had considered it to be a 'luxury.' HAHA! Then I had to remove 5,000 stitches from a project, the project was actually ruined by the removal and I thought about my 'own' advise. "Having the...

Hello Corrie- I feel like a worldly person, writing to someone from South Africa! I am from south California! San Diego is my home. I have ordered that Stitch Eraser for several reasons. The main one is that I have suffered through removing stitches (as many at 6,000 for one project). My other reason...

  • Does size matter? Well, that all depends.

Size matters if you have a design that’s 5 inches wide and your largest hoop is 4 inches wide. Size matters if you want to make a border along the edge of a tablecloth. Size matters if you want to combine two or three designs, each the size of your largest hoop, into one big design. First the cardinal...

  • Of Stitch Erasers, Outlines & Free Design Addiction

Having trouble thinking of what to write about this week. I know, those of you who have attended any of my classes won't believe that. It's true, when I'm in a crowd of you I have lots and lots to say. But, alone, in front of my computer, not so much. So, I'm just going to address some...

  • Re: Stitch remover

It is great to hear different methods of working through an issue. Everyone has to remove a few stitches from time to time. I was wondering how you handle the pieces of thread that come off the design? When I am working on my 'rip out,' there is all these pieces of thread and they stick to me...

  • Re: Stitch remover

Joan - I so agree, "take your time." I think that is the reason why any removal process fails. I am going to try the shaver. I think the trick is to stay above the fabric, barely touching the thread. Peggy's does have a special blade made for thread rather than hair. Since those two things...
