  • This is only a test . . . Part 2

I kept thinking about my last project that failed. I am always excited about presenting project that are really great, but a failure is giving me some uncomfortable feelings. I did retry the design but got the same results, failure of the stitching. . I should have been suspicious when I saw that the...

  • Ruching and Embroidery Equals WOW!

Everyday I see new ideas every where I turn. If it is not a new thread, it is a new machine, if it is not a new design use, it is a new stabilizer. Here is an idea that I thought was really great. Combining ruching with embroidery to create a three dimensional item. Here is the photo of the finished...

  • Embroidery Software and Recap of CatalogXpress and AlphaXpress

If you frequent the Forums here at AnnTheGran or any other site, you will often see users asking which software for embroidery is the best. Can anyone tell me a good site with either 3 d or flat lace designs for the bride? I have 6 weddings this year & am tired of the same old commercial horseshoe for the bride.

  • Re: Lace Work

Good Morning! As a rule, I don't slow my machine down for doing lace work. You may be thinking of 'metallic' thread, where you do slow down your machine. Well stabilized lace work, where the outer edges are correctly in position, is really reliant on the stabilizer. If you are not using Badgemaster...

  • Lace Work

Do I have to change the sewing speed down for Lacework? I did, but it took a long time. That is ok, but if it can be done faster without messing it up, I would like that. Love my 700II. Wish I could Monnogram with it, doing the large Initial in the center. But have not figured that out yet.

  • Re: Problem with Freestanding Lace

You need to be certain that your design really is freestanding lace. There are lots of lace that are not, but do appear to be FSL. There needs to be an underlying base for FSL, and without it, it is just lace. Pat, The Avid Embroiderer
