Re: Use HOT water to prewash cotton for embroidering?

I wash all embroidered things in cold water and after the dryer I steam press the embroidered area on the wrong side. that seems to straighten everything out and you only have to do that the one time. Hope this helps pherfoxx in Melbourne

Hi JoAnn, Unfortunately that is the only way the free designs come is in Pes format. You need some sort of conversion software to switch them to a jef file. I also have a Janome and that is what I have to do as well. The free designs are just that way,Greg can answer why better than I , he is the tech...

Saving your designs and sanity.

I may be wrong but I have never seen this discussed in any of the blogs or forums. Most embroidery machines have folders that you can store designs on. Be it from the computer, disk or card if your machine has one please get in the habit of using them. When moving or resizing a design I always save it...
