I believe catalog programs do not store designs, but help you organize what you have on your hard drive, cds or flash drive.

That machine has a USB drive, so you can download from the Net, and upload to your USB Drive. One thing that will be missing is the information about the design. PED Basic does have all that available for you, but you could better use the CatalogXpress available right here at AnnTheGran. It is more versatile...

This is all good information, and I second each one of the ideas! Relax and enjoy learning about your new craft. Getting a design from your computer to your EM through your USB drive is the easiest and least expensive. And, you don't need other software until you are more knowledgeable. Other softwares...

Lots of good information here. Let me offer this suggestion, use the highest number of pes version you have available. If you have problems, work backward through the numbers. You definitely are moving up in the world with your PE-700II. It is a real work horse and even if you purchase up in the future...

I still have all of mine, but in a seperate file from the rest. I also print out the color change chart...

Joan, Understand on the .pes. I really like the Alphabet Xpress and I am going to purchase that for sure. I did download the trial version of Catalog Xpress and I like the way it shows your designs. That it will convert other files is nice. Let me tell you what I do. When I purchase a design(s) I download...

And, inaddition to getting the latest version, remember that if you win something that is large or could become obsolete (like software) it makes sense to give you a coupon for that item. When Drew Carey gives away a pool table on the Price is Right, the winner does not have to cart that home on a bus...

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Support can probably help you, but they only work a short day on weekends, and not at all on Sundays. Monday would be a good time to call and get a resolution! Pat, The Avid Embroiderer
