  • Embroidery Ink

Many of us who are embroidery enthusiasts love to create wonderful projects for those who we love. Included in that group can be youngsters who have a slightly different taste for clothing that we have. You know who I mean; it is those crazy kids like grandchildren, nieces and nephews who just love whatever...

  • Embroidery Software and Recap of CatalogXpress and AlphaXpress

If you frequent the Forums here at AnnTheGran or any other site, you will often see users asking which software for embroidery is the best. Some people even attempt to answer that question and some people know that there is no answer for it. The reasons are (but not limited to): It depends on what you...

  • A Free Calculator and Reverse Engineering a Design in AlphabetXpress

  • Re: Catalog Xpress

Hi Cathy! I hear a lot of frustration in your post. I do understand, I felt the same way 10 years ago when I began. Right now I am trying to do a towel that has me tearing out my brown hair by its gray roots. Learning and growing is forever and I personally would not have it any other way. The learning...

Dear Carla, I am so happy that you mentioned that you could not access the cat express directly from your software, I have a ses2000 singer and I'm having a hard enough problem learning the futura software I really don't need another problem... no one seems to answer the questions on here......
  • In-The-Hoop Christmas Stocking

There are a few things that are easier than in-the-hoop projects, but for doing holiday items, this one is a (nearly) no brainer. I have admired Christmas Stockings from various designers and just recently won this one at an embroidery group I attend. Free is really fun! I now know why it was free -...

  • Masters of Painting, Van Gogh

Since I am not a digitizer, I don't know much about this particular technique called photo-stitch. But I do know what I like and this is terrific (IMHO). Photo-stitch technique creates a dimension in embroidery that has the appearance of sketching. It is often used in art or photos to give an ‘impressionist'...

  • Re: Notes....

Catalog Xpress is not set up to do that type of copying. However, You can select your word(s) or sentence, hold Cntl and Press C to make a copy. then go to the next design and hold Cntl and Press V to paste it. That is for a PC, I don't have MAC information. Pat, The Avid Embroiderer
