  • Re: Untidy stitching on back of embroidery

It is really sad to hear these stories. I did have Brother machines and switched to Baby Lock for my last 2 machines. I have been happier for certain. When I had trouble with my Brother machine, I did complain to the company and never heard anything, nor did I feel that the dealer was any concerned about...

  • Re: Untidy stitching on back of embroidery

Hello all! I am having the same trouble with my Innovis 4000D and came online to see if anyone had a solution. I think I have traced mine to the auto thread cutter also, which sometimes causes the uppoer thread to unravel because it is not cut properly, and othertimes pulls the upper thread into the...

  • Re: Issues with PE 700II

I have a Brother PE-770 and I LOVE IT! Tonight though I had an issue arise. The error code :The Safety Device has been activated: popped up and when I go to move the needle up or down it won't budge. So I looked in my manual and it is indicating I have some how got thread stuck up under my bobbin...
  • Re: Metallic Thread

I am glad you find the info helpful. Machine embroidery can be wonderful and frustrating at the same time! (Voice of experience!) I did not mention that I highly recommend you go to your local charity store and purchase something as similar as possible to your fabric. You will use the item to do a 'discovery...

  • Re: Bobbin Thread!

Actually, a 75 wt thread is thinner than a 70 or 60 weight thread. I believe that using a lighter bobbin can absolutely be an advantage. For one thing, the design will be less dense which can be a real benefit. Hemmingworth is a lesser known thread, but I have found it to be a very high quality. I wish...

  • Re: Bobbin Thread Weight

I am sure glad that I found this forum because I really thought it was my machine and I was ready to return it to the store. After seeing your post and some elses post I am finding out that I am not the only one with this problem. I've had to lightly hold the fabric down also. The 90 weight came...
  • Re: Bobbin Thread Weight

Boy am I glad I found this forum. I just purchased a PE-700II two weeks ago and was ready to return it to the store until I found out I was using the wrong bobbin thread (I did my research before purchasing this model too). I had no idea there were different weight bobbin threads. I was using the prefilled...
  • Re: PE700 Embroidery Machine

pherfoxx Wanetah - I know what you mean, a good repair person is worth their weight in gold. My repair man has a total of 30 years in sewing and more recently 15 in embroidery. There is not too much that can get by him! This is a great place to ask about a repair person, there are lots of great people...

  • Re: PE700 Embroidery Machine

Very interesting! I have been using the #60 weight, but that #90 just is a great idea. I love the pre-wound bobbins and would not use others except when I am doing FSL. Any other ideas out there? Pat, The Avid Embroiderer

  • Re: Bobbin Thread Weight

So sorry to hear of the mix-up. Make sure you call this to the attention of the dealer and his/her staff. They may not know, or someone may have grabbed the wrong spool. Babylock Emore was the first embroidery only machine to come out with the 90 WT bobbin thread. Your service person can adjust the bobbin...
