I would suggest a tear away stabilizer under the blanket and a Solvy wash away on top of the hooped blanket. I have used this technique frequently with the fuzzy/fleecy baby blankets with excellent results; however I have not tried the minky/polyester satin one. I would urge you to choose a font that...

There are many ideas about stabilizers and the really best way to determine your requirements is to do your test sew out on a fabric as nearly like your destination towels or blankets as you can find.
