    Nancy, I have only made labels for quilts,and I used cotton or a light canvas like fabric for them,with some Ann The Gran Soft Stabilizer as a backing,wss on top and the same fabric for the back of the label.Then outline it with a satin stitch. I guess it will depend on what you are going to be putting...

    nektaria: One way to correct mistakes on towel is to embroidery a design in a square, rectangle or oval and applique it over the mistake.     Yes, it gives you an outline or cutting line as it tacks the fabric down. Then you take it off and cut around the edge, put it back on the machine to do the next stage. It will then satin stitch around it. All the designs are different though, make sure you see the outline and put the material down then...
