  • This Holiday Season With My Brother, Literally

Hello Everyone, Now that the trip is over with, my bags have been unpacked, the laundry done, and things are settling back into the humdrum everyday life, I had to make some decisions about this next year and what I will be doing. First let me tell you that while I have enjoyed doing these writings for...

  • Off The Beaten Path

Hi Everyone, I hope you all enjoyed the writings about thread, I do realize that it was a little intense. So I decided to keep it light this time and give you some fun things to ponder. I know some or most of you know that I was a bit "out of touch" these past days. I suddenly realized that...

  • Re: Hooping and getting it straight

Hi Sunrai Pat, I couldn't agree with you more! Everyone has "their" favorite method for doing just about everything! All we can do is pick out a few, try them, and see what works best for each of us. I am also pretty good at eyeballing it for straightness and such. I use the markings on...

  • Re: Hooping and getting it straight

Hi Marge, You are right, but this is faster,LOL. It is not that big a deal to soak off any left over stabilizer. I have more than a few hoops so I am not in need of having just one ready to sew on.I usually have 3 to 4 ready to sew at any given time. Besides, I never have had a problem with it coming...

  • Re: AnnTheGran Stabilizer

You must have gotten a better needle than I did, it doesn't change the fact that for me it still gummed up pretty badly. It may be their claim to fame as you say, and to each their own, as with all aspects of sewing and embroidery, but for me it is an added expense that is not necessary. I can obtain...

That is odd Pattiann, I have been testing some needles of late. I ordered some Organ Titanium needles and have been using them on some things I am making for someone and had to quit using them as they gummed up pretty bad. I would use them for some things, like fine lettering and detail work but not...

  • The Spool Mini-Series Part 2, The Condensed Edition!

Hello Happy Stitcher's! I am going to cut right to the chase here today, as I have been wading through 35 pages of information on thread! Yes 35 pages! I understand, Wow! So I am going to give you some things you will likely want to print out and keep. I am so excited to be able to share with all...

  • Re: Titanium Needles

Hi Marge, Glad to know that it is not just me that it happens too. I like them for doing regular type embroidery(with nothing sticky) especially for lettering and really fine detail work. They work spectacular on flowers and birds in particular, and really thins stuff like a flour sack towel. Do you...
