Error message: Check upper thread and re thread...My embroidery looked more like a rats nest than a birds nest! Having said that .....

So Im a beginner at sewing, and have gotten interested in embroidering my handmade items. after some research the Brother had caught my eye- now Im confused- whats the difference between the Brother PE 700, 700ii and PE 770? My biggest wish list is: Ease of use and being able to use my favorite fonts...

  • Re: Issues with PE 700II

I can see you have been working hard at seeing that your machine is cared for in a professional way. I know that when I reported a dealership in southern California, I felt no one listened. I never heard from either of them. However, (I am not a cronic complainer) reported a dealership to Baby Lock and...

  • Re: Untidy stitching on back of embroidery

Hello all! I am having the same trouble with my Innovis 4000D and came online to see if anyone had a solution. I think I have traced mine to the auto thread cutter also, which sometimes causes the uppoer thread to unravel because it is not cut properly, and othertimes pulls the upper thread into the...

  • merging a design

I am very new to ME (3 wks), I downloaded a font and when I try to transfer the letters to the card, it comes up as 4 pictures...ex L....I.....S....A, then when I want to make it, it will only do the L, then I have to try to do the spacing to get all the letters lined up. Is there a way when you pick...

  • Re: Projects and Designs from Brother

Your machine DOES have an embroidery card slot. You do need the PE-Basic which as Pattiann says, is available here. You down load to your computer and the PE-Basic will transfer to a blank card (which is included with the software). You can reuse and reuse that card for a long time. It only holds about...

  • What did I do wrong? Please help!

While attempting to upgrade the software on my Brother Innovis 4000D machine, it showed on the screen that the upload was complete. I then attempted to turn the machine on again, and it asks for a "certification key #" which is eight digits, and it did not give me a number, and it also won't...
