Hi Cathy, I have a Phillips Mistral 54 steam-dry iron, and it works just great! I am not looking for a better or different iron. My ironing boards are a regular board and a small sleeve board. Sometimes I would like a larger area, especially when ironing large fabric projects, such as duvet covers, curtains, blankets, etc. I have the Husqvarna Viking

Hi, I use cold or warm water, and the dryer to shrink cottons, all works well. I have even hung the cotton on the clothesline outdoors to dry and that works fine too. I think the secret is to wet and then dry the cotton and it is pre-shrunk. Enjoy your embroidering, I have done it for the last eight years, and now have a small home-based embroidery

I use a product called Retayne and it works very well, on all fabrics and colours. Hilda
