  • Catalog Express

I've had Catalog Express for several years and totally enjoyed it. Recently I cannot open it. I get the message "Network server not found". I have redownloaded the software and that didn't help. I recently changed from my original browser Explorer to Modzilla. Could this be the problem. Help! I love my catalog express..... Billie

  • Re: Magna-Hoop

I love the concept of the Magna-Hoop and have been tempted to purchase it. My hesitation stems from my fear of all that computer (I have a Bro 4000D) being so close to all those magnets. Has anyone had problems along these lines????

  • Re: AnnTheGran Stabilizer

I currently use Floriani stabilizers (that's what my shop carries) and wonder if any one can compare them to the ATG stabilizers. I would be willing to switch and join the club if it was a better deal than I currently am getting. I go thru a ton of it.

Since I hadn't built up a thread stash, it was great because I could usually find the color I needed or a good substitute. However, my local sewing store has started carrying larger spools of a different brand and I tend to buy for specific projects (like quilts

  • Re: Going rate for embroidery lessons

I got my 4000D @ AAA Vacuum & Sewing in Seattle WA. They give free lessons on using the machine for the lifetime of it. They also offer ME technique classes (2 hr) for $10. You can provide your own materials or quite often the instructor will have kits for $2 to $5 depending on the project. Last time we made an in-the-hoop coin purse with a zipper

  • Re: What fabric brand do you recommend?

I'm using Kona black for my embroidered blocks for the "Beyond Color Purple" quilt I'm making. Worked well. But, I just discovered Michael Miller's Jet Black Fairy Frost. It is beauuuutiful! Of course I found it after I'd completed the blocks. Just may have to make another one. It's more expensive, but is wonderful fabric
