Cathy...this was my second attempt at digitizing.  First was a logo.  

I drew the scene first; my sincere apologies to Ann and Eileen.  They really look better in person!

Then I scanned my drawing.  Then opened up my Brother Manual wide.

My first try at this was a disaster.  I had tons of details in the drawing and the embroidery was going every which way.  Took out my Pink Pearl eraser and started to erase away the finer details.

I need much more practice!!
