I got interested in ME about 3 years ago when a client gave me a Janome 9000. It wasn't long before I out grew that machine and now I have a Janome 1000 which I dearly love.
I have been doing crafts of some kind my whole life. I started on embroidery a the ripe old age of 3, I remember my mother buying the doily and hoops at Woolworths. From there I learned to sew, crochet, knit and do needlepoint. As I got older my hands would not do many of the things I wanted to do. For years I entered my handywork at the County Fair and took some ribbons and several of my things were picked to be sent to state. I enjoy creating things that I either can give as gifts or keep, (not to many do I keep). When I got the 9000 and saw what I could create without hurting my hands I was hooked.
I also have been breeding and showing dogs for all of my adult life. My mother raised Chow Chows and showed them, my dad was a big bird man so he always had sporting dogs. I started with Doberman Pinchers and truely love the breed but now I have poodles. I have bred and shown them with some success. There again my creativity can be used in grooming the dogs for pets or for show.
I have two kids, both grown and getting older (even though I'm not), 3 grandkids, two of which are grown and one grgranson. Both my kids live within 5 miles of me so I have them close.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved here in 1964 and there is no where on earth I would rather be. I just do not like to be cold.
