I currently live in Waynesboro, Ga. My husband and I are both retired, he from ironwork and me from the lab. I've been a lab technician in medical labs (dental and pathology), electron microscopy and an industrial micro lab. We built the home we live in doing most of the carpentry ourselves and all of the wiring and plumbing. We have 19 acres with a pond and many deer stands. Tommy loves to hunt; I seldom buy meat. We have 3 cats, 1 dog and 8 calves (at the moment). We've spent the last 10 years caring for my Mom who has Alzheimer's. June the second, she went into a nursing home; she has adapted really well. She doesn't know any of us any more, but she's healthy and enjoys living in the "right now". Now with no caregiving activities going on, I'm kind of at loose ends. I have so many ME projects I want to do that I'm having a hard time deciding where to start, but I'm really looking forward to it.
Along with machine embroidery, I love all kinds of needle work both hand and machine (all except knitting, I've never managed to get the hang of that). I also like gardening, painting, ceramics, and reading.
