Born and raised in N. Michigan,moved to FL 28 years ago. Hate Florida, but children, grand children and hubby are here....so I am too. :o) Have been sewing since I was four, learned on a treadle machine and hand sewing at my great grandmother's knee. She smocked, sewed, knit, crocheted and mended things constantly. Plus she was a wonderful baker and could make a meal for ten from nothing. I like trying to do the same thing. I have a passion for Heirloom sewing and smocking...and according to one of my grand daughters, I have made "entirely too many dresses for one little girl..". So thank goodness there are more...plus a brother too. I love horseback riding...walking w/ hubby, my dogs and cats. I have been retired for one year, but am now looking for work...again. Bummer! I hate this economy! I have already met some wonderful people on this forum and am looking forward to meeting many more. Hugs...to all...:o) We are going to be blessed with another grand daughter in July. Her name will be Emily Grace...and she will be welcomed by all, especially her 9 yo sister, Morgan, 7 yo sister, Taylor and 7 yo brother, Mason. The children are soooo excited. They "talk" to Emily inside her mommy now...it is so wonderful to watch them read to her and sing her songs. Mommy is so very patient with them talking, reading and singing to her. :o)
