I have been sewing for years. I went to work for Chrysler in Michigan back in the early 70s making car seats, then when that job ended after several years of not sewing for a living, I ended up sewing for Steelcase in Michigan. I have also been a Hairdresser and worked as a grocery clerk as well. I lived a great life and have done many things for work. I was a single Mom so I truly know what hard work is.Left Steelcase in 2001 due to illness and then we moved to Florida in 2005 due to my health,we love it here ,but the summers are sort of hot. It is great in December though! I have my own little room where I have my serger, sewing machine and embroidery machine set up. I love having my own space but I wish it was larger,as I have a tendancy to buy a lot of fabric.I have two grown children and two almost grown grand kids. One is 17 and the other 14.(wow I feel old now) I have a wonderful husband of five years, that supports whatever I do. which is wonderful! I love doing my embroidery and making things for everyone I love. I try to make most of my gifts and so far have not heard any complaints about getting a hand made gift. I even got My husbands Aunt into embroidery, that is wonderful ! She came to visit and went home a bought a machine just like mine.I love searching for just the "right" thing to put on something, then watching it sew. I love to "create" my own things as well.My other hobbies include canvas painting, hand embroidery, and ceramics. I fill my time with the things I enjoy, after all that is what life's about. i am a firm believer that when life deals you lemons....................make lemonade ! Make the best of life and live it to the fullest.
