I just turned 51, and a lot has changed in a very short time. I have had trouble with my feet, ankles, knees, and back since I was very young, and discovered in the last 3 years it is all due to my arches being too high in my feet! So, as an obvious choice, I do things that let me sit down. Sewing has ALWAYS been a part of my life, and so was hand embroidery, but I wanted an embroidery machine so bad, I was heartsick! I have a certificate in Commercial Art and Graphics, and an AAS degree in Television and Radio. I love painting, drawing, reading, and so many other things, too, but sewing, and embroidery, and NOW, digitizing my artwork, and creating designs from it, is a huge part of my life!!! I am not a professional, by any means, but I am learning, and I like to share the things I have done, so, I am trying to fill a creative need within myself, with a basic need in my family. I had to stop working, and so have been without a lot of necessities for a fairly long time. My daughter is 10, and Autistic. The Standardized tests are a big stumbling block for her, so since I am at home now, I have the time to teach her at home. Before, I had the extra money to afford the curriculum, but no time to do it. Now I have time, but no money to afford to buy it all! I am creating embroidery designs and instructions for making dolls, and also making and selling the dolls to those who just prefer to buy one! This is the only way I will be able to fund my daughter's education, and fuel my addiction to fabric, thread, and embroidery!!!
