I learned to sew when I was growing up and in 4-H, made some garments then and after I was married. Then only made a few quilts over the next several years. While I was making a quilt in early 2007, my son convinced me to make some items for him for Renaissance. And then to make more Ren. clothing (garb) for him and his "army" and to make some to sell at faires. So in the last 18 months or so I have made over 30 articles of clothing for Ren. Needless to say I have not finished the quilt I was working on. I am very interested in doing machine embroidery and will be getting my first machine in Sept. Of course, my son (age 20) has ideas for that for Renaissance also! I am excited to learn lots from everyone on annthegran.com!
