After a struggle with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) my mother-in-law passed away on Monday morning. Mike and I had made the trip to PA last week to visit with her and had left early Monday morning to return home. We got about 30 minutes from her home when his brother called to say that she had passed. We turned around and went back. We are, of course, very sad and missing her a great deal, but are also rejoicing because she is at home with the Lord. The funeral is on Friday. Please keep the family in your prayers.

I just wanted to take a few minutes here to thank all of you for your prayers and support during this difficult time.  Yesterday was almost more than I could bear.  I know that without the prayers of my friends that I would not have been able to make it.  My mother-in-law was a very special person to me.  She was the strongest, most Godly woman I have ever known.  I loved her like she was my own mom and this has left a huge void in my life.  I do take comfort in the fact that she is at home with the Lord and that I WILL see her again some day.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  I know my mother-in-law was like a second mother to me and she lived with us before she passed away with Parkinsons.  It is hard to say goodbye to any of the parents of a couple.  My prayers are with you. Elaine
