That machine has a USB drive, so you can download from the Net, and upload to your USB Drive. One thing that will be missing is the information about the design. PED Basic does have all that available for you, but you could better use the CatalogXpress available right here at AnnTheGran. It is more versatile...

These tips are excellent. I am glad to see you asking questions as well as offering information!! There is a lot to learn, but I can see you worked your own way through Vista, so you are well on your way. It sound like Brother has updated the software and those CDs that come with the machine may or...

It might be a poor quality thread and of course, your needle could be dull or have a burr in the eye. If the machine has not been...

Welcome to the wonderful world of machine embroidery (ME) and AnnTheGran (ATG). I hope you did not believe everything you hear because that may or may not be true. In fact, I don't know of any that do not work with Vista, but certainly there could be exceptions. You also do not mention a few things...

I just remembered what it means when the upper thread is wrapped around the bobbin/bobbin post!! That means you are using a bobbin that is too tall. Your machine possibly takes an "L" and you are using an "M" which look a lot alike!! Side by side you will see that the "M"...
