  • New to machine embroidery, getting my feet wet, and is Embird a good product?

Hi, I'm pretty new to machine embroidery and am having fun learning all about it. I have a few questions, though. I have a Brother se350, and found I had to purchase the PED programs, and so I bought the PED basic.(the one I can afford!) So far, its all i really want. I dont want to design my own...

  • Re: Large Letters

If you enlarge with machine you can only go about 20% difference in size up or down. If you were to enlarge really big with machine you would loose half or more of your design. I also edit in Embird, but you still have to go back to digitizing extention to edit. You can't edit in the finished format...

  • Re: Labels

Nancy, I have only made labels for quilts, and I used cotton or a light canvas like fabric for them, with some Ann The Gran Soft Stabilizer as a backing, wss on top and the same fabric for the back of the label. Then outline it with a satin stitch. I guess it will depend on what you are going to be putting...

Well Sherri, You stumped me on the tiger faced butterfly pattern. I am not sure I have ever seen one like that. Are you looking for a tiger face with butterflies in the design? Or is there actually a tiger face butterfly? I just looked through my designs,246 butterfly designs and no tiger face one.Let...

  • Re: Embroidery Groups/Support

Great idea,Pat. I was actually thinking the same thing, but for us ,we are pretty spread out here, from coast to coast,(literally, florida is a small skinny state, lol) so it will have to be some where we can all get to in a resonable amount of time, plus have the room to accomodate us and all our goodies...

  • Re: Stitch Density and Fabrics

I can not stress enough the fact ALWAYS,ALWAYS ,ALWAYS do test sew outs for any type of fabric. It is the best way to tell what stabilizers you need for that particular item. Some may need two, three even more .I never do any embroidery without WSS on the top.It just makes every project come out nicer...
