    Alphabet Xpress fonts

I created a design in Alphabet Xpress using the Waltz font and using the envelope option.  On the screen, the design was beautiful, but when I resized it to fit my PE180-D Brother machine (maximum 100cmX100cm area) or 4"x4") and stitched a sample, the text was not clear and readable.  I realize the problem is probably that this font does not minimize well, so my question is what similar (as in script or decorative) fonts would work better.   Or if there is a way to make this font work better, how do I do that?

    Dear Rita:

This is common problem with most fonts do not handle Satin stitches with resizing very well,my suggestion is to use other fill pattern if you want to resize the design .Please try it and if you still have problem send your design to support@annthegran.com and we will look into the problem.

Can you tell me how to change the stitch in an existing design?  Do I do that in Alphabet Xpress or Catalog Xpress?

CatalogXp does not have editting ability. In Alphabetxp you can change stitch type to different pattern BUT only on new file ,and not an existing one. This is how it works, create a new text then click on Properties on top of the screen and go to Fill tab ,you can change it to any pattern you want to,you should be able to see the change on the screen.Hope this helps.
