    Free Zip Software

    Does anyone know of a ZIP SOFTWARE, that is free?

    I am always wanting to open a zip file and they are in a folder on my CP.

    I"m Poor, can't afford to buy one, fixed income doesn't pay much.LOL

    I would appreciate it folks.

    Martha, I sure can understand needing software that can be over priced!

    You can try a couple of things:

    1. Google:  PKzip.  I believe it is free for personal use.  I am not sure, it may have a cost because I got mine a really long time ago.
    2. If that is not acceptable, try "tucows"  This is a site for "The Ultimate Collection Of Windows Software" therefore the name.  Search for "Free" and "Zip".

    You may also find some other great software that is free for your use there.  They have zillions (give or take) of software downloads.

    Try Winzip. just type it in the address bar and it comes up. They offer a free trial, it last a really long time.
