Downloading designs from CatXpress to PED Basic card (Brother Sewing Machine)

I haven't had this problem before so must be missing something. I have my Brother card in the PED basic hardware, am attempting to look at the designs I have in My Catalog Xpress files in order to select some to embroider, and I cannot get any of them up. I go to 'C' drive and expect to see the "Ann the Gran Catalog Xpress" displayed there, but no...only Alphabet Xpress. Please help. I have heaps of designs I have paid for and want to access and use them. Many thanks from here in New Zealand....

    mjelvey,

Greetings from sunny, hot Florida. I also had trouble with this. CatXpress is a "filing" cabinet only and will only tranfer directly to Ultimate Box or Amazing Box not PED-Basic. I have the PED-Basic and did not want to purchase another type of hardware/software since what I have works. I made a file in PED-Basic "ATG CatX Transfer". You can then do a "save as" into that folder. Be sure that you save as the correct .pes format. It is a pull down under the file name. I can then go into PED-Basic and the design is in the ATG folder. I usually save the embroidery files in PED-Basic and name them what helps me to remember what they are. CatXpress is good in concept but seems to be annoying if you are using PED-Basic. I've had CatXpress since the ATG Community Circle and still have not taken the time to put all of the designs into the catagories. It is very time consuming with over 25,000 designs. Hope this helps.
