    Embroidering on polo shirts

I really need guidance on this. I have the pfaff 7570/embroidery. Some one wants me to do a logo on 75 polo shirts.

How would any of you go about hooping these shirts. TIA

I don't hoop anymore--I use Sticky Sulky Plus--works great!! Found out about this technique in MACHINE EMBROIDERY ESSENTIALS, a book by Jeanine Twigg!

I would use sticky stablizer and do them hoopless.  I you do them this was it is a lot easier to get the logo's in exactly them same place on all the shirts.

Hi, Can I just ask you, do you find that you get a build up of sticky goo on your needle/needles?  I just wondered because it is so much quicker not to have to hoop up every time you want to embroider something, I much prefer the stick-on method.  I was very interested in your comment. Thank you

    Cheers

I do get a sticky film on my needles, which then causes the needles to break...

If you use titanium coated embroidery needles you will not have the sticky build-up.  Titanium stays cooler and does not melt the adhesive as a regular embroidery needle does.

Using the sticky stablizer is what holds the shirt on the hoop.  You are hooping the stablizer and then laying the shirt on top, gently push the shirt on to the stablizer and work out any wrinkles.  Once the machine starts the shirt is held in place.

If you are doing towels you can use regular tear away,  I don't use sticky because is is quite messy on terry.
