I have been seeing quite a few fringy designs that are sooo cute.  Can you make any design fringe or do they have to be designed that way?  I am still pretty new to machine embroidery.  I have just finally got a couple projects done with no catastrophes happening.

My understanding is that they are specially digitized designs so that you can cut some of the threads but not all.A good web site for this is embilibrary.com they have quite a few fringe designs and instructions for you as well under project instructions.
