    Faster Downloads for Club Members

    How do we as club members download any of the free designs any faster??????  Every now and then I will click on a design and a page comes up that tells me if I was a member then to click here for faster downloads or check into becoming a member.  When I "click here" absolutely nothing happens.  I AM LOGGED IN (and I don't have but 1 screen name for my account), but even in the "club area" of my account it does not give a link for faster downloads......please help

    Hi, ddugger4444,

    Thanks for your question. When you are logged in as a Club member, you should not be seeing the message 'Want To Download Your Designs Faster?'. The system should be recognizing you as a Club member (which our database shows that you are) and directing you automatically to the faster download "stream".

    Basically, the way it works is that, when you log in, the system assigns you one of two streams, the slower stream for users who are not Ann's Club members and the faster stream for Club members. Typically, downloads for non-Club members are between 5 and 20 times slower than for members, though this of course varies depending on the user's connection.

    If you are logged into your account and you are still seeing the 'Want to Download Designs Faster?' message, please let us know and we will check with our developers about whether there is a bug somewhere in the system.

    I replied to you via the e-mail that was sent to me in reply to my question.  I told you exactly where I was getting these messages for faster dowwnloads.  I have yet to recieve another reply from you.  This is still happening.  Please follow up!!!!!!!

    Hi, ddugger,

    We have had several back and forth e-mails with you regarding this issue and the other one involving another product. We just re-sent the last one that deals with this question, in case there was a problem getting it to you.

    Even though we have been unable to reproduce the problem when we log in using your account, we have asked our developers to take a look to see if there is a bug somewhere that we can't see. Certainly, if anyone else reading this is having the same problem, we would like to know. It is very very rare for just one person to be finding a bug, if there is one, so it would help us diagnose it if we hear from others having similar problems so we can get more information.

    The most important thing is that you are definitely getting your downloads at the higher speed. If you are seeing this message, it is not because you aren't a Club member, it's because something in our system is not recognizing that you are in the "fast lane". All the tests we did indicated that you are getting directed to the correct, faster gateway for Club members.

    I think I know what the problem is with my faster downloads.  I have 2 computers.  One is my desk top  pc and the other is my laptop.  I am downloading everything related to Embroidery to my laptop, since I have to be able to go to my embroidery machine with my designs.  I actually signed up on my desk top pc.  I actually tried downloading today on that computer and I did get the "faster downloads".  I un-plugged my desktop pc from the "internet" and just had my laptop plugged in, it is not recognizing my laptop, I do not get the faster downloads on it.  What do I need to do to have my laptop recognized?

    Hello,

    As long as you are logging into the AnntheGran website with the same login then there should not be any difference between your laptop and desktop computer.

    From what you have explained it sounds like you are having some problems accessing the internet from your laptop computer.  If this is the case, this could be a number of reasons causing this and it would be related to the configuration of your laptop computer.

    Also, if your laptop computer is slower then you desktop computer then you may notice the download speed seems slightly slower on your laptop computer.

    As long as you can access the internet on your laptop then you should be able to download free designs the same was as you do on your desktop pc.
