The group in Florida is having so much fun, that I thought I would like to see if there is any interest in California.

We might be able to meet and share ideas, projects and other things of mutual interest.

So do I "almost" count as a Southern Californian since my Numero Uno grandson, Steve, is in the Navy and stationed in San Diego?  His ship is deployed right now so he's off somewhere, but you can bet a huge portion of my heart is right there in San Diego where he is!

One of the nicest things about living here is that when the big Navy ships come in to port, it is on the news and everyone goes out to meet the ship. 

It is like family is returning.  I remember when my son was stationed here.  He came to San Diego a boy and returned home as a man - what a change!
