    embroidery Paper Dolls

I'm Looking for a design that i saw on this site several years ago - computer crash and it was lost. There was a design with several dolls and outfits that stitch out as embroidery, and you use the aleene's tack it to adhere the clothes to the dolls  i now have a 4 year old grandaughter i would love to sew these out for her.

That sounds like Deegee's very popular Honey Bear and Beau Bear. You can find them at:

Hope this helps. Please let us know if it isn't what you were looking for.

I have some saved on my computer but I don't have the details of where they came from.  the DeeGees ones are much more detailed than I have.  If you could contact me off list we can see if these are the ones you are looking for?  I did them for my grand daughters as well.

Just wondered if you all decided about the paper dolls?  What do you personally use to keep the clothes on?  Gayle I had to laugh when I seen your comment after listing your 2 designer machines that you all wanted to be a double D........guess you're ready to be a triple D now that the Diamond designer is out huh?

    Hi,

I actually saw the Designer Diamond yesterday,in a word  WOW! I would love to have one,but there is no way I can justify that kind of money for a machine. It is however, a wonderful machine.I just about fainted when she told me how much it was,LOL.Big Smile

I wish I could be a triple D but, I love the D-1 I wouldn't dream of getting rid of it- I had it converted to USB from disc and I have had NO problems with it since I got it in 2001.  I made 2 wedding dresses on it.  I actually got the SE because I couldn't embroider and sew at the same time...go figure.

We haven't had much of a discussion on the paper dolls, anyone else out there have any experience with them?  I uaed t spray adhesive and it works well, but I wonder about other alternatives?

The product you use to hold the clothes on the dolls is Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over, its a pressure sensitive liquid. it forms a temporary bond .

I am probably going to get the paper dolls, but can anyone give me an idea as to how many stitches the larger honey bear versus the small honey bear takes?  I am trying to get an idea as to how long it will take to stitch them out.  Thanks

    Re: embroidery Paper Dolls

I am not sure how many stitches there are but it is for a 4x4 hoop so can't imagine it taking too long to stitch out.I just did a little fairy girl last week and it had about 11,000 stitches and was on a 4x4 hoop ,it only took about 30 minutes to do with all the thread changes and there were a lot of those ,lol I think 19 changes. Hope this helps.Smile
