Can you open the designs via the card reader software directly from the hard drive or where your storage is located, such as a removable disc or flash drive?

Re: Having trouble with Catalog express

Are you trying to change the format of a design?

Is the design size within the size of the EM hoop?

Is the memory card in the reader/writer box?

If the design you want to save to the memory card is already in the format you need, and is not too large for the hoop, highlight and move it to the reader/writer box you are using.

If you continue to have a problem, contact ATG Support by clicking on Contact at the bottom left of any screen.

You can use the reader/writer without using CatX.  Refer to your manual for the reader.

    Catalog X can't find design

I download a design to my desktop, from there I send it to CatalogXpress. I go in to CatalogXpress, look where it is suppose to be tranfered too and it isn't there. The problem is when I transfer it to CXpress, it is set to move it to C:program/annthegran/designs/zip or box. It doesn't do it, because when I ask where that design is it says it is on my desktop. Why isn't it moving it to my zip or box file? Hope I explained this good enough for you to understand it. Thanks for any ideas.

    Re: can't find design

Why are you sending to your desktop and not a folder on the hard drive, disk or flash drive?

Once you have a home for the download, it has to be unzipped and saved.

Then open CatX and look for the drive letter where the folder is located.

    Re: can't find design

    OK,lets start from the beginning.

First thing to do is make folders on your hard drive, mine is 'embroidery', then under this folder I have sub-folders, dogs, cats, flowers etc.  When you download a file put it in the folder which most represents it.  Only after it is there then go to 'file, send to and you will see CatExpress there.  Click send and when it get to CatExpress scroll down and put it where is is most represented.  If you can't find something that matches it you can make new folders or sub-folders right in CatExpress.

After you have done this NEVER move that design from the place on the hard drive where you put it.  If you do this you will find when you go to CatExpress that it will say not found.

If you need more help please come back and I'll try to explain more.

    Marge
