BRRRRR, yes ,LOL. I talked to my daughter the other day and they are still waiting for their three days of summer,LOL.

We are meeting on the 19th of July at 1 PM.It will be in Orlando,because it is a more central location for everyone. We are still searching for a location. I am going to make some calls today to see if I can get one nailed down for you all. The problem I am having is that many restaurants  there don't open until 4pm.So that limits our choices and some of the ones that do,do not have a place large enough for us all.

So,as soon as I find us a place to get together,I will post and let you all know where. I have received responses from some of you ,but I really need all of you that haven't yet that want to attend to please e-mail me and let me know so I can get an accurate count,that would really really help us out a lot!

Yes we are working on getting some things set up so we can do more than one of these.Ann has made some Great suggestions about that. We sure will keep everyone informed on the happenings here in Central Florida. Of course we will try to plan something at different times of the year so all can attend.Looking forward to seeing you again in the near future,mean while...............Happy Stitching !

Boy, it's hard to keep up with all of you ...lol  I'm not on the computer all the time I'm at my sewing machine DAH isn't that where we all are suppose to be ME'ing???

I am looking forward to meeting all of you, in a short few days of watching all the blogs I am so excited to meet ones that are interested in doing the things I enjoy.  I've only quilted in the last few years for lack of artistic inspiration and boy in 2 days - you all have given me that.  Got a quilt on the table at the moment but by the end of the week -out comes the embroidery unit.

You all are too funny, I LOL  every time I try to keep up who's writing to who in response to what. I've lived several areas in Mich - GR and Flint, then all over FL, Keys, to St Cloud,  Jax to Lake City and back to Ocala so know where every one in those to states are hailing from and it's just fun to know we all have on common goal... to have FUN and sew too.

Keep me posted.. I'm looking forward to lunch and meeting all these happy people.  Dennys, Sonny's or a Chinese restaurant always have a back room to hold a crowd .. know of a Denny's on Hwy 17 south of Apopka that might be able to accomodate.  It's been awhile since I lived there and it's changed a lot.

OK everyone,I fixed my e-mail so it will not get flooded again,woohoo! Get those e-mail conformations flying in! I am still working on the place,I think I may have one but not sure quite yet. As soon as it is confirmed I will hop in here and let you know. I still need to know how many are coming,other than the ones I already know about. I have 16 names so far,the more the merrier! I know there are more of you out there that will want to be there!

I , too am happy to know there are so many in all of our areas that we can get together with .No one understands us ,better than another ME"er.I would imagine that most folks likely think we are a bit off,LOL.

Wow Lynn,You have lived almost as many places as I have,lol.That is so cool! Yes I know I am supposed to be at my machine,but have been busy getting things ready for us in July. I am working on it,really I am! As I said I think I may have a place lined up,but am waiting for confirmation. So as soon as I get it I will let evey one know. Ok ,so if you don't see your name on this list,then I don't have you down.Please e-mail me and I will write you on the list.We need more if possible to come,if we get a private room we have to have at least 50 people.I know we can do that and maybe even exceed that,who knows. I think if we get close to that,they will be ok with it too, but she told me that if I reserve the room,and much less show up ,then we will have to set at regular tables............................So get that e-mail buzzing !

I was having e-mail issues yesterday,but I have it fixed now,unfortunatly,I lost everything in my e-mails. I had everyones set in a folder ,then when I got back in and on they were all gone. AAAAhhhh technology.....ins'nt it wonderful, LOL

Our Hubby's can come if they are interested in ME too!!!!!! That's great...put down another name...Ken Marks w/ Kathlene. I just asked him and he said since he can't get an appointment for a root canal that day, he'll come!!!!!!!!! LOL   Just kidding...he's into ME too and helps me out w/ things for the grands. :o)

Great,he can keep the other two company. I know how guys are and they don't want to be the only one there,lol. I think it is wonderful as they are going to have to put up with our addiction as well.They may as well join in! Mine was on the fence until he found out the other two were coming. I am going to make mine take pictures,so we can put them on the site.(he is the photographer ,not me lol) I tend to cut people off ,like their heads,so I am not allowed to touch his camera's.lol

 If there will be a few other men there Bill will probably come along. He knows nothing about ME. He doesn't know anything about computers, either. But he's awfully cute!

I'd like to say here that Ann Cobb, a machine embroiderer from Orlando, will be attending. AnnTheGran will not. I hope that's okay with everyone. I want to be just one of the regular gals at these gatherings.

Some of the things we'll be talking about will be setting up small local groups that can get together whenever, even at someone's house to work on projects. Another thing, really important, is to decide on some kind of community service project that we can be working on, lap quilts for a nursing home or something on that order. I'm sure many of us have large fabric collections that need using! I know I do.

As far as name tags, in 1997 when the very first BBD (Brother, Baby Lock, Deco) group of embroiderers got together, 43 of us in Paducah, Kentucky, we each embroidered our own name tags. I still have mine.I think that would be a nice tradition to continue.

Hi Kathleen! Just wanted to tell you that I was at Laura's Sewing & Vacuum today. I saw that beautiful green dress with the smocking that you left there as a sample.  Wow! You are so-o-o talented. I have always admired little girls smocked dresses. I signed up for the Serger Trunk Show on Sunday afternoon, June 22; will you be there? I am hoping to get a couple of other ladies from the Okeechobee area to attend the luncheon in July in Orlando. I will be sending in our reservations as soon as I can confirm that they will be able to attend.....joan......

Galye, I would love to get together with other west coast ME's for a lunch.  They only days i could not make it would be Thrusday and Sat..   Let me know what you think.    Marty
