you have the right idea about mops on their feet, I find I dust mop because of the cats so that might not work. How is it living in Sun City? We moved to Hernando, FL two years ago and we love the quiet up here, there is plenty to do and see or you can just have peace and quiet, we moved from Miami and this is wonderful. The only problem is a lot of people are seasonal so you don't get to make friends easily. Do you quilt and embroider? I have done a little help on quilts but never made a whole one. Hoping to find the time to do one up here but seem to stay too busy to even go to the lessons at my sewing machine place.
What kind of cats do you have? I have two and our son who lives with us has a black one, she is about 7 years old. All of our cats are adopted. We found our son's cat wandering around our fenced in back yard. She has seen my son through some very hard times. Our son is 46 years old and disabled, he lives with us now. My oldest cat is an after hurricane Andrew (1992) Siamese/buramese mix, she is chocolate brown with tips of almost black color, her eyes are blue green because of the mix. Someone lost her and I adopted her from my vet, the people who owned her had all the claws taken out, I have never seen that before, her little feet (paws) are cold all the time. Annie (named for little orphan Annie) is slowly aging and now we have found out she has kidney failure, we bless everyday with her, she eats like a pig, and is still active. Annie is little but has the biggest voice you ever heard, you do what she wants to make sure she stops talking. The other cat is an after hurrican Katrina cat. She kept coming to our yard after Katrina and was so skinny that she looked like the cartoon cat Serafina ( our youngest granddaughter named her). She has the bluest eyes you have ever seen and she is colored like a Siamese, however, her points and tail are a tabby red, she has a tiny voice but she is not tiny, a little on the heavy side, but all she eats is dry food.
Didn't mean to write a book, it is nice to find other cat people, some people just don't like cats, we have had both together all our married life. Our final dog a while Samoyed passed away last year and we just don't want to have another one, we watch a little jack russell/chichua mix for our friends, they lost their dog the same time we did but decided to get another dog. So Candy is our God dog, she is a terror for the cats but is settling down, the cats let her know her place and she plays with our son's cat. Animals are so much fun to watch aren't they, have a nice day, Elaine
