    Format of designs

I have a Husqvarna Viking Designer I sewing machine.  The designs that I have embroidered have been in the HUS or VIP format.  I found a design on AntTheGran website that does not have either of these formats listed.  Would I still be able to embroider the design?

    Re: Format of designs

The design is most likely PES format, which can be converted to HUS or VIP.

If you do not have software that will convert formats, you can download Pulse Ambassador, a free program.

A link to PA can be found on the page following the agreement at DOWNLOAD DESIGNS.

    Changing format

I love your site, your designs are awesome, but I use the HUS format.  Anyone know how I can change from PES to HUS?

Open DOWNLOAD DESIGNS and on page two will be a link to Pulse Ambassador.  This is a free download for converting formats for machine embroidery designs.

I am not familiar wih Bernina, you need to discuss this issue with your dealer.  They should be able to help you with a conversion software which you may need to buy.

I have EOS viewer which allows you to view a design or, using the design browser, a whole file of designs. It also does conversion. You simply open the design in whatever format it's in, and save it as the format you want to use. I'm sure it can't open every format, but it's worth checking out since it is free.

    Pulse Ambassador

How to Convert Machine Embroidery Formats

    Set-up a storage location:

Save your downloads to a folder on your PC’s hard drive and name it so it will be easy to find.

    Download selected files (embroidery designs).

Extract or open zipped files and save them to the folder.

    Open Pulse Ambassador:

Open bright yellow file icon near the top left of the screen.

Find the location of the file you want to convert.

In “Files of Type”, move the selection arrow down to the format of the file you want to convert.

(ATG free downloads are usually  pes.)

Open the file you want to convert.

    Select “Open”.

(A message box will appear regarding resizing - mark “don’t show again” and the select OK.)

The file/design will appear on the screen.

At the upper left of the screen select the word “file” and then “save as”.

In “Save as Type” move the selection arrow down to the format you want for your file/design.

    Save.
