    Hi, Cheryle.

Is this a purchase or a free download?

If it is free, most are in .pes and need to be converted.

You can use this program - http://www.pulsemicro.com/ambassadordownload

Save the download to a folder and then open with PA. Choose save as in the format needed.

If you are referring to a purchased design, it may still be in your account and can be downloaded again in the format needed.  If not there, then you will need to contact customer service with the applicable information.  See CONTACT at the bottom left of this page.

CheryleH - Welcome to the wonderful world of machine embroidery (ME) and AnnTheGran (ATG). ME is the most fun craft, it is beautiful, and creative, you are going to fall in love!

Pattiann has given you excellent information. When we were newbies (everyone was at one time!) we all thought we would go crazy figuring things out.  When we keep trying, we do get it!

Please do feel free to look at my Forum Posting.   I used a PE700 Brother machine, but the information applies to any machine.  When you  are new, you want to get started on the right footing.

Best wishes to you and yours, and happy embroidering, Pat

Re: converting a design to JEF format??????

To prepare the storage of files (designs), first create at least one new folder on your PC hard drive and name it Embroidery Designs.

As you collect designs, you can then divide them into name specific folders.

Send the zipped files to the folder, then highlight and choose open or extract.  The extracted file is what you will be converting to that required by your embroidery machine...for your machine you know it has to be .jef.

When you go to Download Designs, on the screen that will open after agreeing to the guidelines, there will be links to other software.

Download Pulse Ambassador (it's free).  This program will allow you to open the design from the folder on the hard drive.

You then choose Save As and select the format you need.

    Re: .jef files

The designs found at DOWNLOAD DESIGNS can be converted to the format you need.

When you open DD, the information for conversion will be on the screen after the agreement.

Download Pulse Ambassador - it is a free software program.

Create a folder on your computer for the downloads.  Save the downloads to the folder.

Unzip each one and then go to Pulse Ambassador and open the design.

    Save in the format needed.
