    Embroidering on "already hemmed" fleece

I have been asked to sew one line on fleece beanie caps (and head bands) that already have had a turned up hem put in.  Has anyone ever tried doing this without taking out the hem, and if you have, what type of stablelizer did you use?  These are selling for only $5 each, so using an expensive solution would not work.  I though about taking hem out, but can't do it for that price, along with doing embroidery.

These are selling for the remaining high school football season, so I am trying to find an answer ASAP.

    Thank you.......

I would try basting the layers so they do not shift and then use sticky-back stabilzer in the hoop and not hoop the hat or headband.

We agree!  I went ahead with the hats yesterday and they turned out fine; got 20 more!  Thank You.
