What happen to all the good postings?

When will the gallery be updated?   Same pictures since March.  I'm sure lots of lovey creations have been made since the

    conference.

I really miss the old format.

I so much agree with you!!!  But, the format has nothing to do with it.  People are not posting their work any more and I miss it!

I am going to check some of my photos and try to post something.  The photos I do end up in my blog, but I am going to look for something.

Re: What happen to all the good postings?

I don't know about anyone else but life has been so hectic around my house I haven't even been up to my sewing room.  My youngest is getting married and we thought we had everything in order and we busily tkaing care of invitations and favors and florists then we made and appointment at the reception venue and found out that the place had double booked and since we were the second booking we had to find a new place so that has taken up the lion's share of the June.  End of the year activities with grandchildren, with pre K and Kindergarten and 6th grade graduations (did we graduate from all those grades?) took up a large part of May.  April was dedicated to parents on both sides :-), fortunately mine are in good health but his are not.  And my sad tale goes on and on.  I am hoping to get back to my machine soon because we have twin girls arriving on August 8 and there is always back to school sewing for the other grands, plus wedding hankies and gift bags to embroider so I will be back at it soon.

Thanks for your post it gave me an excuse to sit down and stop working in the yard for a little bit.

    Stitching again soon

    Lee,

The format is the same for the Gallery.  However, the people have changed.  The majority of the group of 2008 have disappeared since the changes in the Forum and Blog areas.  They were an enthusiastic group of women for sure!

Gosh, I feel guilty for not being on the forum more :-(  Like I said in my previous post I just think that we have all gotten busy with other things that have kept us from embroidering.  We are still enthusiastic women we are just having to focus on other less fun things like 2 sons who are out of work, and daughters who have had to go to work full time rather than part time and grandbabies to watch during those hours.  Lots has changed for many of us since spring of 2008 but we are all still here and I think everyone, as I am, is grateful knowing that we do have our MEing sisters for support.  Unfortunately, I have been so busy that I have taken for granted the friends I  have on this forum and for that I apologize.  I am hoping to get back to MEing soon.  I have never posted any of my projects because you all are so much more talented than I so I feel "not worthy" :-) of taking up Gallery space.

Hope everyone is having a great summer.

We are an entusiastic group just busy :-)

Re: What happen to all the good postings?

Marsha, you are so right!  We still are enthusiastic and enjoy our love of machine embroidery.  The friendships are the wonderful bonus!

I too have family with much distress.  I worry and care and try to help when I can, but I do know, I need to take care of me for me and those I love.  My daughter's plate is so full that it breaks my heart, but she is a strong woman and I am proud of her.

All of you, try to return to the gallery and post something you have done.  We all love to see what you are doing, please share - - - it is free and makes all of us a little better.

Go to this link to post a photo, Embroidery and Sewing Project Galleries and don't forget to select a subsection, such as "Projects."

Absolutely, we want to see what you have been sewing.

I have never thought this to be a machine embroidery only site.

Re: What happen to all the good postings?

I just submitted a question to the "Contact us" site about a problem with uploading pictures to the project gallery and received an e-mail to put my question/concern on the general forum and the moderator will place it in the correct area.

Anyway, I tried to upload pictures today as the instructions indicated, however, there is no "submit" button on the upload page that the instructions say to click on.  I only see the save button, but evidently it does not send your pics to the gallery.

Hopefully, someone at ATG Technical Support will get this fixed so we can start seeing new projects and pictures again.  Deb

Re: What happen to all the good postings?

CAUTION - I just checked, and the function was not working as of 6:10 PM EST on 7/16/09.  I will follow up with Admin.

There are two places to upload photos and that may be causing the issue.

In Galleries, Select Embroidery (not Scrapbooking) and then Select Projects.  You will see an Icon named UPLOAD, select that.  Then, IGRNORE the icon that says SPECIFIY FILE/URL.

Give your project a name and then follow the same instructions for posting here in the Forum - which is:

After Selecting "Write a New Post" or Selecting "Reply," Select the Film Strip Icon.  Press Browse (sometimes twice - and, no, I don't know why) and Select "debgamble's files."  Select Upload file and continue to find your photo from your computer.  Select Upload File and double click on your photo.  DONE!

If you still have questions, please advise.  Computers must have everything in a specific order or it will give you unexpected results.

Re: What happen to all the good postings?

    Good Morning all!

Just got an email from the IT gurus and they found the problem and are working on it!!!  Computers do go crazy sometimes.

You can post here at the Forum, but the Galleries are "out of service, temporarily."

Stay tuned for an update when it is fixed.

Re: What happen to all the good postings?

I don't know what happened to other people, but like some who have commented, I can say "Life is hectic."  If I didn't promise things to my g-daughters and others, I might have time to read postings, let alone write to them.  I have been sewing and it might interest "someone" to know that I won my Quilt Guild challenge on Monday.  That Is, I won the award for Best Of Challenge.  There were seven other awards.  That could totally explain the last three or four weeks of not reading the forums.  Also, I could mention at least four days a month that I spend writing LaRueSews.  Why don't I post to the forums?  I don't know, reading email, eating, sleeping, sewing, quilting, church, reading a book a little, it seems like just living takes time.

I still like ATG, even if I don't participate as much as I'd like to.  Maybe we should all make a little promise to try to be more diligent in ATG participation.  I'll try.

    Stitches to you,

    LaRue

    Congratulations!

Everyone is busy, busy, busy so it is understandable why most post are questions about how to do this or that.

Congratulations,  I did read your blog and saw the picture of the quilt.  It is beautiful.

Love your blogs, as a quilter I do find something new in everyone you do.
