    Janome 350e

Hello to all. I am new to embroidery and I am having problems with my Machine recognizing any files that I have downloaded. I found out that I had not formatted my memory stick to the machine and have now done this and my machine still will not recognize anything that I have downloaded. I have been reading and have made sure that the files are unzipped and are a Jef format. Where to from here??? Help please I am feeling very depressed when I see all these beautiful designs and have been unable to see even one on my machine.

Remember that the program on board your machine is not really a 'computer.'  It is a place that the machine interprets what the digitizer has written.  It really cannot do a lot more other than turning or a minimal resizing.

That being said, your machine cannot read a file folder.  In your USB, unload the designs from the folder and place directly on the USB and you will be successful. - Tell me if that does not work, because that is what I have been told.

I'm wondering if this was the answer that helped.   If not, please let me know, I own an 300E also and have never had a problem. Did you delete the designs off the card first, then format in the machine, then reload the designs? You may have to do it that way.

When you formatted the machine should have put 2 folders on the card one labeled EmbF5 and one Ord#5. Put the designs in the Emb folder. now it should work.

    Hi

I'm also new to this and with my 350E, when I copy to my stick it has to files. I have to click on the embf5 file and it comes up with a my design file.  I transfer my design into that file, then transfer it into the embf5 file, then when in my embroidery machine the design shows up in whtever hoop size it is in.  Hope I explained it well enough for you to know what I am trying to say.

    Happy Embroidering

    Linda
