    PE Design

I have had PE Design v7 for more than a yr and have done nothing with it. I was searching on the net to find tutorials, and found the one I wanted from some Dutch lady, and it led me to this website. Only her books aren't on this site. But Deer's are. His aren't brand specific, so my question is are they user friendly enough to use with brother, especially for a computer dummy!!!

I have not use either of those, have you checked http://www.secretsofembroidery.com for tutorials?

They all take time and concentration.  I have not tried those of Loes Van Der Heijden or John Deer, although I do have his book, "Digitizing Made Easy" and did not find as much information as I had hoped for.

Go to brother.com and you can get the manual for pe-design and brother machines. It is step by step instructions and you can download it and print it out.

You can simply put in brother.com, then click on home sewing & embroidery, then Embroidery, scroll down and click manuals and choose your machine type and software version and it will give you the download.

I am wondering if by Dutch Lady you mean Loes?  If so, I'd find the CD's that are hers and get one. She does the best job of tuts around. I have one of her disks.  It gives you both a movie tut with a printable pdf so you can have something to refer to.

I think it was her, I'll have to check another site. Just to all those replying, thank you. I have the brother manual. I was looking for something "for dummies" like me!

Loes CD will do the trick, she is quite good at it.  And you can watch each video as many times as you like and still print the pdf to refer to.
