    Minkee with satiny backing

I'm new to this. I have a simple question. What do I use to stabilze a baby toy with Minkee on top and satiny back for embroidering name on? Any help would be appreciated. Laurie

    Re: Minkee with satiny backing

Minky is one beautiful fabric for a baby's project.  But, it is slippery and difficult to work with.  So, I recommend that you use Ann's (excellent) Adhesive Water Soluble Stabilizer.

You need the adhesion for that fabric and Ann's is the very best on the market and, if you are a member of Ann's Club, the price is the very best on the Internet.

Make sure that you use a 'topping' on your fabric so that the embroidery does not 'sink' into the fabric.  You can use a water soluble stabilizer of any variety for that.

Show us a photo of your project when complete.  We love to see items that are done by ATG friends.
