being an older user for my own enjoyment, I am very dissapointed in your new network.

I am on a very limited income, and have enjoyed your free designs for a time, sure wish I had downloaded sooner.

I can't seem to get anything to work anymore, and I can't afford to join.

You won't see me anymore.  Sorry we can't work together. You designs don't download.

it can't be free if you have to pay to join.

I have been using Ann the Gran for years... both for their free designs and to purchase.  I have also referred numerous friends to your site...the money/support to your site has been steady... NOT ANYMORE!!!  The refreshing thing about Ann the Gran WAS (past tense) that the designs were truly free.  I just purchased digitizing software and can guarantee I won't contribute to a site that is deceiving.  EVERYONE is affected by the economy...but the one's at the bottom are the most.  There are many other sites with better pricing but I supported Ann the Gran because they were very reputable and reliable.  Sorry, but I do not think I will join your "Club".  It seems to be too exclusive.

Hi. I have bought software from Annthe Gran and also used the free designs site often for specific pprojects.  I do not like being forced to join the Annthe Gran club for $ 29.95 every 3 months to download free designs, since that's a lot of money right now.  The site is cumbersome and harder to use  It takes me much longer to find what I am looking for and has really "turned me off" towards this site.

i have beem using ann the gran for a long time and now thay want money it was a fantastic service now it is awfull what a shame :-(

Hi iam very disappointed with your site NOW .How can you say free designs and ask for payment when the designs were free before the changes and now are for sale. if some thing is free you cant charge a payment . I have been using your site for years , But also cant afford to pay for membership as the £ is so low . many people here in Scotland are disappointed. Are the people who donated the free designs getting a payment for there hard work? if so i think you should say on the site. Thanks for all the designs i have used in the past for charities  but now can't use the FREE  designs as  when you try to download them , i am told iam not a member.

I have tried a dozen times, but am still unable to download the a design.

If the design you are trying to download does not have the icon, it cannot be download unless you have joined Ann's Club and your membership fees are current.

Am I no longer allowed to get those FREE downloads?

I also will NOT be visting ATG again. I have used this site for more years than I can remember and am Very disapointed with the freebies now. I have spent far too much time trying to download, I am now giving up for good!!!

I wanted to let everyone following this discussion thread know that we have added 1000 new free designs to the Download Designs section. These designs are completely new to the Download Designs section (all the existing ones are still there) and were sourced at our expense, but will be available to all registered users of our site. In other words, instead of 500 free designs avaialble for download at any one time to non-Club members, we now offer 1500 free designs available to non-Club members.

We are doing this as a sign of goodwill in response to the many comments that we have received in this forum about the limited number of designs available for download to users of our site who are not members of Ann's Club. We do sympathize with the comments made by many of our long-time users, and we hope that those same users will understand that there are significant costs involved in running this site that we need to account for, even in these difficult times.

We remain committed to building the best online resource possible for members of this creative community of people.

It seems very sad that you are now putting a price tag on designs that were DONATED to you, and your new site is very hard to navigate. Having access to "random" designs does not help if you are in dire need of a specific type of design. I appreciate the cost issues - and it is too bad you did not forsee this as a problem years ago before your costs escalated where all of your community must now pay the price. If you charged a nominal "use" fee every year for access to the site, I would cheerfully pay that. But I am not willing to join your club on the offchance that I need one of the designs at some time. You have diappointed me.

There are still about 500 free designs so I am not sure what your problem might be. 

You may want to get in touch with Support for a little help because sometimes we might miss a step and fail to get what you need.

We have now included search criteria that lets you search by name, category and contributor name.

If you are not an Ann's club member then look for the download symbol. These are the designs available for you to download.

If you don't have a club membership there are still 500 randomly chosen designs that can be downloaded at any one time. This group of 500 designs will change periodically.

For years I've come to AnnTheGran for free designs,  you've not always had what I was looking for,  but many times you have.  And many of the designs have become family favorites.   In exchange for members spending time digitizing and giving their time to you for your free designs,  and you having the "free design warehouse"  I've bought all of my supplies from your store.  And sent many many friends here. 

it saddens me that the one place you could always turn to for new free stuff is now like everyone else,   sell sell sell,  money money money. 

and it saddens me that I'll have to find a new place to shop.   Even though I've spent no doubt thousands of dollars here,  often paying more then I would at other places, because I believe in loyalty, you still repay your loyal customers by charging for something thats always been free.  

Hope this "progress" doesn't put you totally out of business.   I do know its lost you MY business, and my referrals.

The designs are located at DOWNLOAD DESIGNS.  Read the information on the second screen, first screen is the agreement, before downloading.

navigation of sight not as easy as some sights ,but it would help if New designs  had an entry date beside them so it  doesn't take all your time sitting at computer wondering if you have this design or not .Beryl

For more years than I can remember I have enjoyed your  free designs.  And now I rarely go to your site as the freebies nw available seem to be of poorer quality.  If I lived in the USA I would become a member, but I do not - I live in the UK and it would just cost too much for me to send money over electroically on top of the subscriptions now required.  What a shame you have lost a lot of our UK friends!
