    Pre Wound Bobbins

Will the Nebs Prewound bobbins you have for sale work in my Bablylock BMP6 Embrodery Professional Machine?   I recently purchased some prewounds from my local dealer and the bobbins are terrible... so I am looking for some that will run smoothly in my Babylock BMP6.

    Thank You,  Sandy

According to this chart  http://www.allstitch.net/media/pdf/AllStitch_Machine_Embroidery_Bobbin_Size_Chart.pdf  they will work.

    Re: Pre Wound Bobbins

Hi Sandy - Like Pattiann, I think you should have success with your bobbins.

Let's talk about those bobbins:  I had the same problem and knew that people were pleased and actually raving about those bobbins.  I discovered that the Type L and Type A (aka 15A) looked a LOT alike but were actually different.

If you are able to find an original bobbin that is working well, compare it to your bobbin, you may find that there is a 1/16" (my guesstimate) of an inch difference.  If your good bobbin is taller, your machine should have come with a little gadget that looks a little like a thumbtack but bigger.  Use that with your bobbins and you should see a significant improvement.

You don't say if the bobbins are sideless or not.  I have found that sideless don't work as well for me in my Babylock because when they get small, they don't weigh enough to stay put.  However, sideless work in my Brother PE700 just fine.

Check your manual for the correct bobbin and be careful to get the right one.  It really is money well spent, after all which is more fun, winding bobbins or creating a master piece??

    Bobbin size chart.

     http://www.allstitch.net/content/what-size-bobbins-will-work-in-my-home-embroidery-machine-1026.cfm

An embroidery only home machine uses "L" and these are the same size as the prewounds.

I have a combo - sewing/embroidery machine that uses class 15 bobbins, but also has a bobbin center pin (spacer) for prewounds.  The space goes into the bobbin case, under the bobbin and brings the "L" up to the same heigth as the "15".

If you have a combo that came with the size 15 bobbins, you can use the size "L", with or without a spacer.
