    viewing zipped files

HELP! How do I view files i have downloaded?  I have winzip, and my machine's software is installed, but when I try to unzip a design to see what it looks like, I seem to get the runaround (probably because I do not know what I am doing!! ) Could someone walk me through it, PLEASE??!!  jEANNINE

    Hello Jeannine,

You will need software to view embroidery files.  The free designs are in PES zip file format, you will need to first extract the PES file.  Your software may not support PES files.  In this case you may need to convert the file format to the file type your software reads, i.e. JEF, SEW, etc.

Catalog xpress will allow you to convert to different file types.  To download Catalog Xpress please visit http://annthegran.com/Product.aspx?t=1&i=2567.  Click on the 'download information' link and save the file to your computer.  Run the file once the file is saved to your computer.

    Thank you

    Re: viewing zipped files

I have been able to unzip most, but still cannot open 2 sets that I have purchased.  I downloaded the trial version of Catalog Express, and cannot open with that either.  When I right click, I get a box, but nowhere to send them  When I click on "open" in that box, nothing happens.  Also, where is the Sulky thread chart on the color conversion? And why do some of the designs show "threads" through them only in the Catalog Express view?  I'll need an engineering degree before I can do this!!  Thank you for ANY help!Jeannine

By the way, I hve a Husqvarna 955E machine with the 4D Embroidery software.
