    Re: Catalog Xpress

I can't find some answers:  (1). Can the downloaded version once installed and "filled up" be saved to a CD or travel drive?  If left on computer HD, what if computer crashes?  (2).  Does resizing affect the viability of the original design? (3) What happens after the 30-day trial period?  Does everything vanish into cyperspace?  (4) when designs loaded into the Xpress, should the other files with designs then be deleted?   I would probably save them to a travel drive.  I tried the customer service number, but it was no help.  Thank you.  Judy DeGraff

    Re: Catalog Xpress

    Hello,

Here are answers to your questions:

    Q. (1). Can the downloaded version once installed and "filled up" be saved to a CD or travel drive?  If left on computer HD, what if computer crashes?

    A. The Catalog Xpress installation program can be downloaded at anytime from your orders page and reinstalled in case your computer crashes. In regards to the catalog of designs, you would need to back up your design files along with a file called EDB2.MDB, this is stored in C:\Program Files\AnnTheGran\Catalog XPress 2.5

    Q. (2).  Does resizing affect the viability of the original design?

    A. It can affect the design depending on how large or small you resize the design. It also depends on the quality of the original file and the file format.

    (3) What happens after the 30-day trial period?  Does everything vanish into cyperspace?

    A. Your designs are still located on your hard drive - Catalog Xpress points to the locations where you inserted your designs from. If you decide to purchase the software all of your previous designs will be in the program.

    (4) when designs loaded into the Xpress, should the other files with designs then be deleted?   I would probably save them to a travel drive.

    A. Its important to insert the designs from hard drive because Catalog xpress points to the location you insert the design from.

In regards to customer service, we apologize you have not heard back from anyone. Please e-mail support@annthegran.com your telephone number and I will have someone contact you Tuesday.
