    Cool [H] Embroidered clothing labels

Greeting from SC.  I'm new here so bear with me.  I love to sew - I've been sewing ever since I can remember.  I learned to sew on my mother's old peddle machine - and I'm not even THAT old -haha.  I just purchased my Singer CE250 about two weeks ago so I'm still trying to figure out how everything works.  I have a question.  Is it possible to make labels to sew inside my creations like you can sometime find at the fabric stores that say something like "made especially for you by......".  And, if so - what would you use as the fabric - I thought about bias tape?  And - how would you start the design at the beginning of the tape and repeat it to the end of the tape so that you could make several at one time?  I haven't figured out how to make the machine start sewing where I want it to rather than in the middle of the hoop.  Does this make sense or is it a really stupid question/idea?   Thanks for your help - love this site.  THE mommy

Yes you can set a machine to sew by using the JOG keys on the touch screen. You will need software for the words to be typed into a line, then you will need to re hoop depending on the size of your hoop. I do not have a singer so I don't know what software you have for your computer, but I would call the dealer you purchased from and ask them. Good luck.

I would suggest that you buy the labels. They are relatively inexpensive. You can get them to say different things. I can't remember the name of the company that I ordered the labels from since I'm not at home, but you can find companies in the back of sewing magazines. Also you might want to do a google search. Save your time creating other works of art.
