I think your site is brill ,I have downloaded lots of free embroidery , I have had a wee problem with some where the black out line at the end of the embroidery is not always around the edge and leaves a gaps or over laps . Other than that I go to your site first to see whats new, just love it. Thank you so much to everyone for your wonderful embroidery pictures From Lynnette

Hi, justaminute, and welcome aboard! Unzip the designs first. Your Ultimate box can't read zip files. Okay, now, my own Ultimate Box is one of the first editions, so it's possible that the software that comes with some of the later boxes might unzip. But you'll never go wrong unzipping first. Sometimes there are other things in the zipped files, such as special instructions.

I bought the Ultimate Box and am very new at this. Have an older Viking 1. I can see the designs through the software, but am wondering...do I unzip the files BEFORE trying to view them through the Ultimate Box? Or do I unzip them AFTER I open the Ultimate Box? I have a separate Embroidery file (with subfolders sorting each design). I haven't tried to download any of the designs through the ultimate box yet, just wondering about the unzipping portion of the free designs. Keep up the GREAT work! I love the freebies and have seen some wonderful sets!

Ann thank you for responding. I'm looking for sewing machine designs, like the machine on your name tag. If the sewing machine is on a Brother card, can you tell me which number? I'm just teaching myself to digitize, so I don't know if I'd be done with doing my machine before the Nov conference in Minneapolis (that I want a personal tag for. thanks again carol

Hi all.....I went to the American Sewing Expo in Novi Mi and I'am now the proud owner of a Brother 4500D Duetta...WooooHoooo except I have NO idea how to use it. lol changed my sewing room around yesterday and going to start embroidering this afternoon......BTW they had the new Quattro $7995.......what a machine...loved it. Sigh... Story of my life... Well I think I get a pair of the duck bill and make adjustments. I find I can do some things ambidextros, but cutting .... well if I want a straght line... that is another story.. Of course I will try on a practice project, if it turns out it will be a good project.. lol

Thanks Ann for looking, but I have not found left handed ones either.

cme, i've been scouring the Internet and I can't find a pair of lefty duckbill scissors. I'm sure someone, somewhere carries them, but I have no idea who or where.

SudsDuds2, I think I'm probably unbalanced both physically and mentally. I'm working on the phyusical part, but I don't think there's any help for the other.

Carol, which design are you looking for? For my name tag I chose a design from one of my Brother design cards and put the tag together with my PE-Design software.

cme-That is a good question. Scissors are a real challenge in this case.

If you wonder what cme is talking about, take a pair of right handed scissors and try to use them in your left hand. Some scissors are made to be either, but most are for our right handed friends.

Im another newbie, well semi newbie! Started embroidering around 4-5 months ago, with a Bernina EM1, (using only ART grade A or B format designs, so the ATG ones didn't work, and nothing could convert to that). It has died on me, so I am off tomorrow to pick up a Janome 300E. YIPPPEEEE, I have been downloading your designs all day, I cannot wait to make christmas gifts etc!! Very exciting!

No problems here downloading the designs at all, but I do know that I need to get a thing to change the format to .JEF. that'll probably confuse me more tehehehe

Ann, Your Wii might say you are unbalanced but that is just physically, thank goodness, not mentaly. But if you fall again all your friends here will pick you up emotionally just not physically.
