Sorry, Ann, just found this now. Yes, you are a "hoot" on Facebook, just like you are here at ATG, because you are also "hoot" in person. This proves one of the main points of my post, which is that Facebook is so popular because it's a great way to replicate your offline self online.

Not sure exactly what you are referring to in the Terms of Use. Facebook is a hugely popular platform for promoting businesses, and Facebook loves that, so either you've found a loophole in the Terms of Use, in which case you'd have outfoxed some very keen legal minds over at Facebook's corporate offices, or you may have misunderstood the item. There is no commercial version of Facebook, although generally speaking people have "profiles" and businesses have "fan pages", so there is a bit of distinction there. That, you would know if you had read my guide.

The only thing I can think of to which you may be referring is a policy of Facebook's that you cannot promote or represent Facebook or any of its trademarks on any other site. Could that be the one you found?

First of all, I'm not a "hoot" on Facebook. Maybe in my blog posts a little bit. Second, I was reading the Facebook TOU because I had a issue with something and wanted to know how to report it and found out that it's against the TOU to use Facebook to promote any business or web site. Is there another version of Facebook for commercial use? Or would I already know that if I had read your brochure?

I like that I can keep in touch with family and a few close, personal friends on Facebook. I'd have to set up a different account to do any wide social networking.

Hey, I'm slow reading the blogs this time. I've been on Facebook. LOL Actually, I just began Facebook about three weeks ago, and I just posted a link to your blog to MY friends, because it's great.

Since joining Facebook, someone connected with me whom I hardly know but is a relative and has grown very dear to me in just the last week. Facebook is a wonderful medium to promote as well as renew past acquaintances. Thanks for great information about Facebook.
