I have a Brother 1500D and use PE-Design 7, which is not very easy to use, the Help is not, and most times I need advice at 10:15 pm when my dealer is closed. I'm very familiar with Photoshop and have a zillion fonts on my computer -- some of which will transfer to the Mac. Is Embrilliance the software for me?

We do have Poly X40 thread in our database and you'll see it soon in the thread list! Thanks for the prompting to get this done.

Also for anyone viewing this, we have released version 1.44 - available as a free update which you can download from the MacEmb website. It has a few bug fixes (everything reported thus far) and a couple feature requests.

We continue to make the product better thanks to the suggestions from all of you.

Thanks!

P.S. We're not far from bringing out the next Mac product! It's been a long time in development, but you can be sure we'll let our friends here at ATG know as soon as possible!

I called over to Baby Lock to get the answers. There are some Brother and Baby Lock embroidery machines which can only see certain USB stick capacities. Specifically some machines could not use a stick over 1Gb

By way of example, I have an original Ellegante which I keep for the purpose of testing. That machine won't read any of my fancy new 4Gb USB sticks, but it can read my old 512Mb SanDisk USB stick just fine. The Ellegante 2 however removes that restriction.

Many of the models have support to read a CD drive, but not all drives have the required support apparently. There is a list of drives on the Baby Lock website called "USB Media Reference Chart". www.babylock.com/downloads

The link is about halfway down the page on the right.

Writing of the USB stick by a Mac is not a problem at all for the machines - we do it all the time. :-)

So, if a lower capacity drive does not solve the issue, have your dealer or Baby Lock take a look at the machine. But I'd be surprised if capacity isn't the issue.

-Brian

We purchased Convert It Mac and my wife loves it. She sits with her mac book pro on her lap and spends hours going through embroidery files and CDs that she hasn't used in years. We are a mac mostly household with only one laptop PC for embroidery needs. The only problem we have is when we burn an embroidery CD or use a memory stick to transfer the embroidery patterns (in both ART and PES formats), her BabyLock embroidery machine will read neither. Both the CD and the memory stick are pc initialized so that shouldn't be the problem. Any thoughts?

My husband and I are both technical people and have made our careers in the IT industry. He converted me to the Mac-side several years ago, so we are now a Mac-household (6 running Macs I believe). We do own 1 token PC since not all software will run on a Mac. :-) I do run Windows on my Mac when I need to get to my PC-only embroidery software. Although I am not a digitizer, I too should attend a S.A.F.E. meeting. :-) The one thing that I would love to see on Convert It, Mac, s a database/catalog feature. That would be enough to greatly cut my dependence on Windows.

Thanks again for filling the gap for Mac compatible embroidery software! Looking forward to even more great things to come.

Warm Regards,
